International student competition ReThink Waste Challenge
Wageningen University & Research, the Netherlands, announces the next edition of the ReThink Waste Challenge, a student competition in the field of circular economy based on biotechnologies.
During six months, students develop and then present an innovative and sustainable business plan or prototype for the prevention, reduction, reuse, recycling, or restoration of biomass flows. The right project can be a new use of biowaste as a material for production, a new technology for extracting a valuable product from biomass residues, a more efficient production process, or a service that will lead to a reduction in the amount of waste.
Participation includes support from academic and private advisors and participation in various workshops.
From January to June 2023, your team, supported by top experts, will work to turn your idea into a real business proposition that you will present to a jury and potential investors.
Do you have an interesting idea? Do not hesitate to register your team; registration for the competition is possible until 1st January 2023. The goal is a comprehensive solution, so the team should cover various areas of expertise, from technical to social and economic. The call is intended for all students of bachelor's, master's, and Ph.D. studies.
Participating in the challenge can support your future career and can be the first step to your own start-up.
