There is another opportunity to do something for your health and the environment.
In September, let us join in the challenge of the AutoMat association and improve life for ourselves and our planet.
If you missed the challenge in May, you can take part in the September cycle To work (not only) by bike and thus support sustainable mobility within the framework of the European Sustainable Development Week (ESDW), which CZU will participate in again this year and which will take place at the university at the beginning of the academic year from October 7 to 8, 2024 (the program for ESDW is still in preparation).
Choose the mode of transport yourself - bicycle, scooter, skates, walking, running, or in combination with public transport - simply different than by car.
In this way, we can at least try for a few days that it is also possible in another way and reduce the negative impact on the environment that automobile transport brings with it.
When?
- The challenge will run from September 16 to September 27, 2024, so you do not have to worry about missing out.
Why take part?
- You can work on your physique.
- Staying in the fresh air improves the immune system.
- You can get important vitamin D from sunlight.
- By moving (in addition, outside), you can also improve your mental side. The happy hormones serotonin, dopamine, and others are released, and at the same time, the harmful stress hormone cortisol is reduced.
- You can help sustainability and save the planet.
Did you know that…
- If you do not want to ride the "Suchdolák" hill, you can have your bike transported by bus 147, where you can use bike holders.
- You can park your bicycle on the premises in outdoor racks or store it in the bicycle storage of one of the faculties or the dormitories. Just ask at the reception desk of the relevant faculty or dormitories.
