Memorandum of Cooperation in Education for Sustainability

On 10 September 2026, Michal Lošťák, Rector of the Czech University of Life Sciences Prague (CZU), and Bára Semerádová, Director of the educational centre TEREZA, signed a Memorandum of Cooperation that connects academia with the non-profit sector. The partnership focuses on developing competencies and talents in the fields of sustainable development and education for the future.

As part of the cooperation, the partners will support the development and dissemination of the international Eco-Campus programme. By signing the memorandum, CZU becomes the second university in the Czech Republic to join this programme.

The Eco-Campus programme promotes a systematic approach to sustainability management and encourages the active involvement of students, staff, and partners in sustainability-related activities. Participation offers the University the opportunity to exchange experience with prestigious educational institutions worldwide, strengthen its position among sustainability leaders, and work towards achieving the internationally recognized Green Flag Award.

The programme is coordinated at CZU by the Sustainability Office of the CZU Rectorate. Its practical implementation will be carried out by an Eco-Team, which will be open to all students and employees interested in developing sustainability projects in line with the CZU Sustainability Strategy 2025+.

Further information about the Eco-Campus programme and opportunities for involvement will be published during October through the University’s communication channels.
