The Czech University of Life Sciences in Prague again defends its first place in sustainability among Czech universities in the UI GreenMetric ranking
In 2025, CZU ranked 68th among 1,745 participating colleges and universities from 105 countries worldwide and repeatedly ranked 1st among seven participating Czech universities in the UI GreenMetric ranking globally. CZU has participated in the three sustainability rankings for several years.

This global ranking system prioritizes environmental protection to ensure the sustainability of universities and their approaches to environmental stewardship.
The ranking aims to assess the current conditions and strategies of universities in the field of sustainable development. The rating is based on data that tracks university measures and strategies related to climate change, clean energy, water conservation, waste recycling, green transportation, and education and research in the field of sustainability. The university's participation in this ranking raises public awareness and motivates positive behavioral changes necessary to achieve global goals.
