CZU Defends Its Success in the UI GreenMetric Ranking Once Again

The Czech University of Life Sciences Prague again defends its first place in sustainability among Czech universities in the UI GreenMetric ranking.

In 2024, CZU ranked 31st in the UI GreenMetric ranking globally and repeatedly ranked 1st among participating Czech universities.
The Czech University of Life Sciences Prague has participated in three sustainability rankings for several years.

UI GreenMetric

These ranking addresses sustainability from a more environmental perspective. It evaluates six blocks separately - Infrastructure, Energy, Waste, Water Management, Transport and Teaching and Research.

In this ranking, we are ranked at:
31st among 1,477 participating colleges and universities from 95 countries worldwide 1st among 6 participating universities in the Czech Republic.

Compared to 2023, we have improved our position in the overall ranking by 5 places.

UI GreenMetric World University Rankings 2024 for the 15th time
The 15th edition of our rankings showcases 1,477 institutions across 95 countries, making it the global university ranking system dedicated to assessing the sustainability performance of the institution.
The aim of these rankings is to present the results of an online survey on the current conditions and policies related to sustainability efforts and institutional improvements efforts at universities all over the world to draw the attention of university leaders and stakeholders to global climate change, clean energy, water conservation, waste recycling, green transport and sustainability education and research.
This year, a new theme was introduced, "Instituting UI GreenMetric World University Rankings: The Way Forward".
