We invite you to the CZU Christmas Markets, where the Student Association, in collaboration with the university, has prepared Sustainable Christmas Workshops featuring twelve unique activities.
Stop by, make a small gift, or test your skills – all while avoiding unnecessary packaging and chemicals, creating sustainably with respect for the environment.
All stations are free of charge, and workshops will run at designated times until supplies run out.
We’re bringing back some favorites from last year, such as bath bombs and candle-making. Still, we´ve also added some exciting new activities – like crafting barefoot sandals, paper Christmas ornaments, and custom tea blends to enrich this year’s workshops.
Here’s what’s on offer:
Bath Bombs – Natural cosmetics for anyone who loves a relaxing bath.
Tea Blends – Create your own tea mix from selected herbs and dried flowers.
Bath Salt – Bring your own closable jar (max 150 ml).
Sustainable Wrapping Paper – Hand-decorated wrapping paper made by upcycling shopping bags.
Fabric Gift Wraps (in collaboration with ReTaška) – Bring an old cotton shirt you no longer wear.
Oil Perfumes – Natural cosmetics in refillable containers.
Gift Tags (Quilling Technique) – Made by upcycling cardboard and shredded paper.
Beaded Angels – Handcrafted from Czech-made glass beads.
Candles – Made from natural soy wax and scented with essential oils. Bring your closable jar or mug (max 150 ml).
Lip Balms – Natural lip balms made with beeswax or candelilla wax infused with natural oils and vitamins.
Paper Ornaments – Handcrafted hanging decorations. Have old sheet music, books, or unused paper at home? Don’t throw them away! Bring them to life by turning them into unique Christmas ornaments in pom-pom style.
Barefoot Sandals – Hand-sewn barefoot sandals made from natural, sustainable materials. Barefoot footwear is designed to respect the natural movement of the foot, offering maximum comfort and a healthy connection to the ground.
The workshops will occur in the Aula on Tuesday, December 3, Wednesday, December 4,
and Thursday, December 5.
