LOKNI are smart water filtration stations that allow CZU students and employees to tap fresh, filtered, sparkling or still water directly on campus. They provide a sustainable alternative to bottled water and significantly reduce plastic waste.
Where can you find LOKNI?
There are four LOKNI stations available on the CZU campus. They are located near:
- The refectory
- PEF – entrance hall
- PEF – near the small lecture halls
- FAPPZ
Just bring your own bottle and enjoy high-quality filtered water. No unnecessary plastic, healthier for you and better for our planet.
How does the LOKNI app work?
To use the stations, simply register in the LOKNI app (iOS / Android). Registration is quick and you can use any email address — it does not have to be a university email.
After registration, every user automatically receives the FREE tariff, which allows you to tap 0.5 liters of still water free of charge each day.
In the app, you can also activate the PREMIUM tariff, which allows you to tap up to 3 liters of sparkling and still water per day.
Stations sponsored by partners are labeled LOKNI+. All stations at CZU are LOKNI+. This means that even with the FREE tariff, you can tap up to 3 liters of sparkling and still water per day at these stations.
The app also allows you to track how many liters of water you have tapped, see how many PET bottles you have helped save, and manage your tariff.
Did you know?
Thanks to LOKNI, hundreds of thousands of PET bottles are saved at CZU every year. Every refill helps reduce plastic waste and supports a more sustainable campus.
Since the beginning of the project, more than 2 million PET bottles have been saved thanks to LOKNI.
